Main purposes for building the desert Bali hotel
The main motive of building the Bali hotel in the heart of the desert was to prevent domestic tourists who wanted to visit the deserts and they had no choice but to leave the country and move to other Persian-gulf-side-countries, from leaving the country. The other motive was to attract foreign tourists many of whom have no idea of the desert and they had no previous visits to deserts but because of lack of facilities such as residential services they gave up the travel to Iran .
However the construction of this desert hotel was initiated in 1384 of Persian calendar by a man who is born in the desert himself. Yahya Amini who was the manager of one of the most famous youth-hostels of Iran before the Islamic revolution was in charge of the process and despite all the financial problems and unfriendly behaviors of the organizations and even local people, the construction of the hotel and camping area was finished in 1388. The Bali hotel has 32 rooms each of which includes full equipment and services according to the hosting standards. The rooms of the hotel are divided into to parts.
The first part includes normal accommodation as you would find in other hotels with the conventional services, beds etc. The second part however is consisted of traditional rooms in which no desk or chair and so on would be seen but instead a pure traditional arrangement and design provides the users with the desired comfort, while in the mean time creates a completely new experience for them. Instead of the usual bed here the sleeping service includes a cotton mattress and red-velvet blankets with walls made up of traditional plaster of clay and straw, thus the nostalgic traditional space is all that prevails in these rooms.
